Light. It fascinates me. The essence of photography lies in understanding light and how to control it. I am constantly learning how light interacts with everything around it and how to capture this interaction just as my minds eye sees it. With every shot I take I learn more and more about light, sculpting my technique.
I am amazed at how photography is able to freeze a moment in time and space for an eternity. In what can take a few fractions of a second opens up a whole new world. Photography allows us to see the finest details in the smallest of objects and it turns everyday mundane objects into something beautiful. Photography does not just capture moments, it captures emotion.
Growing up in the West Midlands, I have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to travel to many places around the world; which has produced some interesting photos. However, I have found that whether you travel a few paces away, or a thousand miles away, there is always something as interesting to photograph. I am only limited by my imagination.
Inspired by the infinite possibilities of photography and the immaculate beauty of the world, I find myself continuously adapting my style as my creativity grows.
Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. More than anything else, the challenges which photography presents keeps me forever reaching. It is a relentless search to find the “perfect picture”. A constant game in what I consider to be one of the most powerful forms of communication.
